How it works
DevHunt is a launch site only for developer tools, and it is open source. Each week a new batch of tools launches on the homepage and developers vote for the ones they like.
Listing is free. Free tools get a launch week from the queue. A paid launch ($19, one time) lets you pick any week, gets you into the newsletter, and makes your link "dofollow" (helps your SEO). A $49 boosted launch is listed higher on equal votes and gets its own post on X.
Voters must sign in with GitHub or Google, so votes come from real people. The week's winners get a badge, a spot in the weekly newsletter and a social mention.
Good fit if
- APIs, SDKs, CLIs, libraries, open-source projects, MCP servers, DevOps and database tools
- Developer tools that get lost among consumer apps on Product Hunt
Skip it if
- Your product is not for developers. DevHunt won't accept it

Step by step
- 1
Sign in and submit
Sign in, open your account and submit your tool with the details above.
- 2
Pick free or paid
Free puts you in the queue for a launch week. $19 lets you choose your week. Your tool gets its own page either way.
- 3
Launch week
Share your DevHunt page with your developer audience (GitHub README, X, Discord). Reply to comments all week.
Rules: break these and your launch gets removed
- Developer tools only. Not for developers, NSFW, or fake-engagement services get rejected
- Don't fake votes. Voting requires a real GitHub or Google sign-in
Tips
- A short demo video or GIF of your tool working makes a big difference to developers
- Link your GitHub repo. Developers trust tools they can inspect
